A new album which moves !!!!!!!!! Wake us Scorpions !!!!!!

I think for guys very important to find a right balance between sound tone, riffs and solos stuff. As for me some of last Scorps song are too heavy and sounds too mellow and round. In that case lead tone was not so readable and legible in general mix.
I guess Eb could be perfect tonality for guitars and of course for Klaus's voice. On my opinion, Rudolf's idea for using more basic framework rhythms and less solo/lead stuff - bulls_it (sorry Rudy)! World are still needed speed/slow/shred/melody solo materials. So, looking much forward and waiting this release.

I was just looking around having a look to see who Scorpions might get as another Bass player and I came up with the name Ingo Powitzer.
I found out that in 2004 he worked with them on Unbreakable and then in 2010 with Sting in the Tail.
It will be interesting to see who the next drummer will be that is for sure.
Boy am I glad they are not retiring just yet but they need to go back to what they were like back in the 80s.

Both contracts expired as of January 1st 2013...so with the band not really doing much in 2013 not sure if they are on the payroll for this year..

I agree with Thomas let the 6 year old play drums and we can get his buddy Dougie Howser to play bass..so the band can play the UK,Australia and Japan next year..

ScorpfanUkraine-Lets don't go down the same path as last November where everyone started arguing. It has been very nice having peace on this site lately. You know i respect you and your knowledge of the Scorpions.

James was the one who stated his contract expires January 1st of 2013 when he was going through his nasty divorce to Athena. And from a close person inside the band Pawel is on a year to year contract just like James.

Also i'm friends with alot of people who work for the Scorpions either facebook or by email..I'm stating the facts that i have been told i can print here or on my site www.scorpsnews.com so they don't get into trouble.

I am wondering the same thing...but as far as i can see the band works in very old fashioned way,they want to keep everything secret!

The older forum members remember what happened back in 2007 with the HH1 cover,when the french fan club revealed it...all the music sites kept talking about the upcoming album the cover etc etc etc...and the band,instead of understanding that all this was publicity...they gor mad...and erased ALL their fan clubs from the links section,amaong them the Greek Scorpions(Sting)Fan Club ( www.scorpions.gr ),which is maybe the most long lived since it was founded back in 1997 and it is still strong...i would say stronger than ever!!!
Speaking of old fashioned thing....this site is also a very old fashioned one...anyway,i hope that the will let us know what happens with this new album,before we see it at any record store...

I hope at least that the album will sound in an old fashioned way,but i think the best thing to do,would be to work again with the master(DD).

Thank you antonis for the kind words...The Greek and French sites are amazing and they are the reason i wanted to start the scorpsnews site to give all North Americans a site with more news then this site.

And i also remember the HH1 cover and how the French site got into trouble i was stunned that the band and management was upset with great publicity..

So yes we need some NEWS on this site....please Klaus,Rudy and Matthias we need some studio updates..tell us if there will be a full tour in 2014...
