Olympiahalle-Munich closed until 19th of October

It's not a joke !
The Olympiahalle is closed until the 19th of October due to some works on the structure.
Olympiapark München

They try to find a new date.

With the people who comes from aboard, it will be better to keep the same date but change the venue ...

Damn construction always takes more time than usual - even in Germany apparently.

Thank you for finding that - it makes sense that there are no tickets available too.

There surely must be another place in Munich that they can have the concert?

So sad that we do not have any news here. I guess they will wait until the problem is resolved and they can tell us where it's changed to.

It's not the band's fault or even Management that the Olympiahalle isn't available, but they need to let us know right away as to what will happen.

You're so right... I had flight already paid. I really hope they change the venue, and not the date, if the date is going to be changed, I have a ticket for the show to be sold :|

 :? gosh, as usually each show I'm going to visit brings so many worries...so now this one..and it happend when I'm almost sure I'll be there... :| huhh...hopefully everything will be clear soon...fingers crossed for changing just venue, not date ( coz though for me it's not important - I'm flexible, and haven't bought flight tickets yet, but I understand worries of those who won't be able to come if there's a change in the date... :| )

DEAR SCORPIONS, I KNOW THAT YOU READ THE FORUM - SO PLEASE PLEASE IF THERE'S ANYTHING YOU CAN DO NOT TO CHANGE THE DATE OF THE VENUE - PLEASE TRY TO DO IT, COZ U KNOW HOW MANY FOSERS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD ARE TRAVELLING TO MUNICH TO SEE YOUR SHOW!!! AND MANY OF THEM HAVE ALREADY BOUGHT THE TICKETS, PLANNED THER VACATIONS....PLEASE IF YOU CAN DO ANYTHING POSSIBLE, DON'T CHANGE THE DATE!! ( though, of course I understand that here there are so many factors, that don't depend on you, but still....  )
Best wishes, Nadya

It's great to be here, to see you all!

Sorry for re-posting this, but I am sure all of you want to know exactly what is going on

http://www.olympiapark.de mentions the following:

Farewell World Tour 2012 - Achtung: Olympiahalle bis 19. Oktober geschlossen!
Scorpions - Achtung: Olympiahalle bis 19. Oktober geschlossen!

Basically, it says that the Olympiahalle is closed until October 19th, because of some repairs being done, following some mishap in June, which cause major damages. They thought it would be fixed sooner, but it won't. The end is what is worrying me - Olympiapark München GmbH is in contatct with the organisers of the show to find other possible dates. :(

I really hope they find a better solution - like another venue, instead of another date. I keep my fingers crossed!

Matthias tells me that they all found out about this just yesterday....

"the information that the construction at the Olympic Hall is delayed, arrived yesterday. Promoters and all artists, including the Scorpions are not amused. We have to find an alternative plan, but it is too early to say.

I have to change my plans to have an event in the store in the afternoon of the same day, as well.

We are all hanging in there, waiting for a solution to show up.

Cheers,

Matthias"

Thanks Christy to asked Matt, I wanted to do it.

I really wish/hope they will find a solution with an other venue and not change the date. It will be the best for everyone.

I've been thinking about the problem with Olympiahalle. Hopefully they are not contractually obligated to perform at the Olympiahalle. Meaning because the hall isn't available the contract they have with them is void.

If they are released from the contract, then they will have more chance to find somewhere else to go - but honestly on such short notice I'm a bit worried. About the only thing in my mind that would be doable would be to postpone the concert until December when they go to OberHausen too.

Not a great idea, but it's possible that they will do that. I hope not. I really hope there is another place they can perform that night in Munich instead - but is there?

You're welcome, but after over 5 1/2 years, I ask MJ just about everything that is asked on this forum. Doesn't always mean he answers!! But he has been so good at answering a lot of questions that fans have asked on here and thru me. Like the smoking and the accident to his eye, etc. He doesn't answer as many as he used to, don't know why but it would be nice if he went back to the Q&A he used to do.
Let's just hope that they can find a different venue and tht he will still do an M&G and the interview we are wanting at MJG. Right Joanne, Curry and Gabi?

Thank you for your help Christy.

I also hope that the date won't change, because okay, the hungarian Fos is going to trawel by car, so we don't have the flightbooking problem, but we have allready planned everything, and the date is perfect, because the show is at the weekend, the next day is at the weekend also to leave back home, so we should ask just one off-day, (ok, 2, because we want to leave on thursday), but not more, so our bosses wouldn't be pissed off.
Klaus-THE SPECIAL ONE,
Rudolf-THE WISE ONE,
Matthias-THE COOL ONE,
Pawe-THE SIMPLE ONE,
James-THE CRAZY ONE,
The Scorpions are THE NICEST GUYS.

And why not a big open air at the Alliaz arena :D
It's free from the 10th to the 18th of october.

It could be occasion for the promoter to sell more ticket --> make more money

They can make Scorps sold out the stadium ! but if they want to take a decision, and make the show in the stadium, they must annonce this right now!
See the number of people who are still asking tickets for this show (hm) and the speed that this concert was sold out..
They can do this in the stadium
Cause i was raised on rock..

Is the Olympia Stadium different from Olympiahalle? And if it's larger, they may lose a little money in the lease. However, at this stage of the game, what's more important; the fans or the money?!! hahahaha Oh wow!! Is that ever the million dollar question, yeah? ha

Maybe scorpions are not sure to fill the stadium, because it is quite larger than the Olympiahallle!
Ultimately everything is about money and pride.
