Curry, Ivan on the 7th of January, that's so cool!! I'm sorry if it sounds stupid, but I'm curious, according to "which religion" do you celebrate it? It's the same day in Greece, for our version: Ioannis or Jannis . (for the True Calling fans, it was also the nameday of their guitarist). It's a very common name here. There even exists a proverb, roughly translated as 'a home without John, success sees not'.

And guess what? It's the "same" name aaas... Hans!
So on the 7th it is: his nameday, his father's, my father's, and my mother's birthday. Might be a big celebration some day

agh Gabi.. that's my problem - my hands and legs are more or less normal - but all the fat is in my waist area and it's a real disaster for me , and I know that I should do just simple exercises to get rid of this but as usually I have no time for it ( and of course a bit lazy...)

Well, Ivanovden - or day of Ivan, it`s a orthodox christian celebration (or may be not only?) and wikipedia says (cause I`ve never thought about why i celebrate it) that it`s in honor of John the Baptist, even though.. one day earlier, we`re celebrating Joanovden or day of Joan (which is how we call John the Baptist).. Grr.. religions! So,in brief: we celebrate Joan day in honor of the baptism of Jesus and one day later - Ivan day in honor of John the Baptist.

Wow, so many celebrations around you on those day! It must have been unforgettable! With a delay: I wish all the best to your (both you and Hans) parents, and I WISH HANS: love, love, love (now the Beatles melody of "All you need is love pops into my head)!

I belong to those, who posphoned everything to the last moment, and often have to order my self to move my lazy ass.
However, I am convinced that Hans' welcoming was perfect finally.

Thanks to all you ladies for all those nice wishes. I didn't realize myself until some time ago that my father's name and mine are coming from the same. We don't really have a tradition with namedays around here, but of course since some years now I have more "feeling" with namedays than before.
